Job description

Agensys is seeking a DRSN Technician to support the Air Force National Capital Region Information Technology Services (AFNCR ITS) program within the National Military Command Center (NMCC). This position supports one of the most mission-critical communications environments in the Department of Defense and is responsible for the engineering, maintenance, operation, and modernization of the Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) and associated telecommunications systems supporting senior leadership and national defense operations. Responsibilities: * Maintain DRSN and associated telecommunications subsystems supporting 24/7 operations.

Perform DRSN switch administration, maintenance, fault isolation, and service restoration. Conduct network planning and engineering activities for new circuit installations, modifications, and deactivations. * Perform all COMSEC responsibilities including operation and maintenance of cryptographic devices.

Support telecommunications backbone modernization and network expansion efforts. Troubleshoot hardware and software components supporting DRSN circuits. * Provide outage notifications, restoration updates, and circuit status reporting.

Coordinate with other work centers to ensure continuous circuit availability. Monitor circuits and communications systems supporting critical operations. * Support evolving mission requirements as directed by DRSN leadership.

Required Qualifications: Active TS/SCI Clearance. Active Security+ CE certification. * Experience installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining communications equipment.

Experience supporting telecommunications or network infrastructure environments. Ability to work overnight shifts and support 24/7 operations as required. * Strong troubleshooting and fault isolation skills.

Excellent communication skills and ability to perform in a high-tempo mission environment. Preferred Qualifications: Direct DRSN experience. * Experience supporting command centers or military operations centers.

Cryptographic Systems experience. Tech Control experience. * C4I Systems experience.

Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) experience. Experience with contingency planning, restoration planning, and communications exercises. * Experience with test equipment including BERTs, VoIP testers, scopes, multimeters, and tone generators.

  • Experience performing PMCS, advanced troubleshooting, and component replacement procedures.
