What is a Hosted PBX?

A Hosted PBX (Private Branch Exchange) is a cloud-based phone system that allows businesses to manage their telephone communications over the internet instead of using traditional on-premises phone hardware. With a Hosted PBX, the service provider is responsible for hosting, maintaining, and upgrading the system at their data center, so businesses only need IP phones and an internet connection. This setup offers features like call forwarding, voicemail, auto-attendants, and scalability, making it a cost-effective and flexible solution for organizations of all sizes.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals managing a Hosted PBX system, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals managing Hosted PBX systems often encounter challenges such as ensuring consistent call quality, managing network bandwidth, and providing swift troubleshooting for users. Since Hosted PBX relies on internet connectivity, maintaining a stable and robust network is crucial to prevent call drops or latency. Collaborating closely with IT teams and utilizing monitoring tools can help quickly identify and resolve issues. Additionally, regular training on system updates ensures the team can efficiently address user concerns and adapt to new features.

This isn't just a desk job; you are the "engine room" of our onboarding process. You will oversee the lifecycle of SIP Trunking, Premise-Based, and Large Hosted PBX projects, ensuring every client moves from "signed contract" to "live dial tone" with precision and care.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive the Workflow: End-to-end management of implementation cycles for large-scale enterprise customers.
  • Architecture & Accuracy: Gather and validate complex technical data to generate precise preliminary quotes and final proposals that set the stage for a successful build.
  • Resource Orchestration: Publish work orders and manage tickets for both in-house technicians and third-party subcontractors to ensure physical installations stay on track.
  • Timeline Mastery: Oversee all onboarding milestones to maintain momentum, ensuring every project hits its "Go-Live" date on time and within budget.
  • Strategic Escalation: Act as the bridge between onboarding reps and upper management to resolve roadblocks quickly.
  • Retention & Relationship: Conduct proactive outreach to existing clients, ensuring our solutions continue to meet their evolving business needs.

What We’re Looking For

  • Organizational Excellence: You live in the details. You can manage multiple moving parts across several high-value projects simultaneously.
  • Communication Skills: You can talk shop with engineers and talk strategy with business owners.
  • Reliability: This is an in-office role at our Waterbury, CT headquarters. We need a dependable leader who thrives in a collaborative, face-to-face environment.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: You don't just report delays; you find ways to circumvent them.
