Job description

Commercial Counsel @ Well-funded GenAI company · US remote, East Coast hours

We are hiring a dedicated commercial lawyer. You would join an existing legal team and report to the General Counsel.

The enterprise business is growing fast and there is no commercial playbook yet.

You would write it.

What you would do

- Run customer and partner negotiations: enterprise agreements, API and developer terms, DPAs, vendor contracts

- Stand up the contracting infrastructure, from form agreements and negotiation standards to approval thresholds and the tooling to run them

- Be the lawyer sales comes to, and get deals closed

- Support partnerships where licensing and third-party content rights are central to the deal

- Manage outside counsel where it makes sense

What we are looking for

- 5+ years negotiating commercial contracts, most of it in-house at a high-growth software company

- Solid on the standard stack: MSAs, order forms, DPAs, NDAs, vendor and reseller agreements

- Comfortable working directly with a sales team on live deals

- JD and admission in good standing with at least one US state bar

Privacy, licensing or consumer-terms experience is a plus, not a requirement.

Total compensation and equity expected to start around $500k
