Job description

Position Function : Responsible for supporting the philanthropic mission of ACH Child and Family Services by executing donor engagement, annual giving, and stewardship activities (donor lifecycle) across individual and corporate donors under the direction of the Donor Engagement Manager. The Donor Engagement Coordinator plays an essential role in implementing donor outreach, communications, and relationship-building strategies that strengthen donor retention, increase participation, and support annual fund revenue growth. Requires sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and a commitment to donor-centered fundraising practices.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree preferred, preferably in business, communications, nonprofit management, or a liberal arts field.
Experience Requirements: Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated nonprofit, fundraising, or related experience, with an emphasis on donor communications, annual giving, or stewardship support. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, maintain accurate records, and support outreach across various donor segments. Strong organizational, written communication, and interpersonal skills required. Experience using constituent relationship management (CRM) systems preferred.
Functional Requirements : Must demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively within a team environment to achieve shared goals through collaboration and information sharing. Ability to manage details, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated skill in donor-focused communication and relationship building. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms required.
Working Conditions : Heavy computer usage with administrative and clerical responsibilities in a team-based office environment. Attendance at public and donor-related functions required, including some evening and weekend work. Occasional lifting of files and office supplies up to 25 pounds.
Exposure to Confidential Information : Maintain confidentiality and comply with policies related to donor, volunteer, personnel, and client records. Uphold the Donor Bill of Rights and ethical fundraising standards.
Key Expectations/Responsibilities :
  • Works with the Donor Engagement Manager to support annual giving and donor engagement goals and assists in executing tactical plans to achieve those goals.
  • Supports the annual giving program, including donor acquisition, renewal, and individual giving campaigns (including monthly giving and peer-to-peer initiatives), using the constituent database for tracking, benchmarking, and reporting.
  • Assists with donor onboarding, stewardship, and acknowledgment processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and donor-centered communication.
  • Supports identification, cultivation, and solicitation efforts for entry-level and select mid-level donors through coordinated outreach and personalized engagement activities.
  • Manages assigned donor and prospect lists or portfolios with established outreach and engagement goals, under the guidance of the Donor Engagement Manager.
  • Contributes to a coordinated matrix of donor communications, including email, direct mail, phone, and personal outreach, in collaboration with development and communications staff.
  • Works effectively with ACH program representatives to support donor engagement opportunities and communicate mission impact in support of the annual budget.
  • Assists with donor engagement events and activities as assigned, supporting logistics, follow-up, and stewardship.
  • Supports other development initiatives and projects as assigned by the Donor Engagement Manager and Development Director in a professional and effective manner.
