Job description

Digital Imaging Company seeks Document Preppers to join Document Prep Team in a large production environment. These individuals will be dedicated to sorting, organizing and ensuring documents are properly prepared for downstream scanning operations.

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Key Responsibilities 
          - Validation/Reconciliation of boxes/files received
  • Prepare a wide array of document types and conditions for scanning
  • Prepare document for scanning by removing staples, clips, rubber bands or any type of bindings or obstructions
  • Identify and report damaged or fragile documents that require special handling
  • Identify and report undersized documents that may need special handling
  • Ability to use handheld scanner to scan the box barcode
  • Insert slip sheets at the appropriate level (physical division) to establish document separation
  • Identify the location of oversized document and out-sort for wide format scanning
  • Escalate exception items identified during production to the lead
  • Maintain an organized workflow to meet daily production goals
  • Assist with other document preparation tasks as needed
 
Qualifications:
 * High school diploma or equivalent (ideal for recent graduates)
 * Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused on repetitive tasks
 * Ability to meet production goals and deadlines
 * Good hand‑eye coordination and comfort working with physical documents
 * Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, depending on task requirements
 * Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
 * Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
 * Experience working in records management, document processing, warehouse, or production environment is preferred

Work Environment:
 This position takes place in a production-style document scanning facility. Training will be provided on all preparation procedures and document‑handling guidelines.
