Position Overview
Duties and Responsibilities
The Process Documentation Intern is responsible for coordinating an audit & improvement of the existing library of operational procedures. Activities will include (but are not limited to) facilitating the review, edit, and approval process for existing procedures with internal subject matter experts; identifying gaps in knowledge content; editing copy for clarity and consistency; drafting new procedure documentation; publishing content to internal intranet / knowledge base. The Process Documentation Intern will work with subject matter experts on various field support teams and their work will improve the quality of operational reference material used by field associates.
As a member of the Operational Excellence team, you will:
  • Assist in drafting and updating process documentation for new and existing branch workflows
  • Maintain documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency, incorporating stakeholder feedback
  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) and cross-functional teams to gather and organize information
  • Help identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance content effectiveness
  • Contribute to the development of clear, user-friendly training materials
  • Align documentation with business goals and target audience needs
  • Support operational efficiency initiatives across branch locations
  • Assist with potential migration of process documentation to new platforms, helping organize and transition content as future direction is defined

The expected pay range for this role is $15-$22 per hour. Actual starting pay will depend on factors such as location and experience, and will always meet or exceed applicable state and local minimum wage laws.

Education and Experience:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Liberal Arts, or a related field
  • Relevant coursework, academic projects, or internship experience in writing, content creation, or documentation is a plus, but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools
