Job Description:

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7a - 3:30p

  • Ensures accurate patient record imaging by verifying patient identification, form identification barcodes, image quality, and correcting document errors as needed.
  • Retrieves, scans, and processes discharged and active patient records from inpatient units, outpatient departments, and emergency departments in a timely manner.
  • Verifies record completeness using discharge logs and identifies, tracks, and resolves missing or misplaced documentation.
  • Maintains productivity and quality standards while communicating record discrepancies, irregularities, and document status with leadership and clinical staff.
  • Supports Health Information Management operations by preparing records for transport, processing loose documents, and accurately routing records to the appropriate destination.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Intermediate computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel [Required]
• Ability to communicate verbally with all levels of associates, management, physicians, patients and their families, and other customers [Required]
• Critical thinking and detailed work skills [Required]
