Job description

Ergon, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Document Control Manager to provide enterprise-wide leadership and strategic direction for document and records management across the organization. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing document control systems, policies, and procedures to ensure the accuracy, integrity, security, and accessibility of company records. This position partners cross-functionally with departments such as Legal, Safety, HR, Operations, and IT to ensure compliance, improve operational efficiency, and support organizational growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage enterprise-wide document control and records management systems
  • Develop and enforce document control policies, procedures, and governance standards
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and internal requirements
  • Oversee document lifecycle processes, including creation, storage, retrieval, and archiving
  • Drive continuous improvement in document management systems and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and risk management
  • Train and mentor team members on document control practices and systems
  • Manage and optimize electronic document management systems (EDMS)
  • Travel requirement: Up to 25%

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in document control, records management, or quality systems
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience with enterprise-level document management systems
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Preferred:

  • Professional certifications in document control, quality, or records management
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and regulatory frameworks
  • Advanced proficiency in EDMS platforms and Microsoft Office tools
