Description

The Document Control Assistant supports the accuracy, organization, and control of engineering and quality documentation. This role is responsible for executing document control processes, including Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), revision control, and file management, to ensure data integrity and compliance. The position works closely with Engineering and Quality teams to maintain accurate records, support system updates, and ensure documentation is complete, consistent, and audit-ready.


Responsibilities

  • Check and execute proper processes for our Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) regarding updates to drawings, datasheets, or other files.
  • Update website listings as needed.
  • File and control documents on our server.
  • Check controlled outline drawings, STEP files, and other submitted documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Create STEP files and upload them to our website.
  • Assist with Bill of Material (BOM) entries and updates in NetSuite.
  • Review Engineer drawings for proper GD&T.
  • Review Documents and ensure proper revision controls.
  • Review ECO requests ensuring all necessary information is provided to Document Control.
  • Control all submitted documents, files, and folders in a locked system.
  • Performs other duties and/or specific projects as assigned.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Some experience in a similar position. 
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Hardworking, detail oriented and organized.
  • Proficient in spelling, grammar, and composition.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience reading and reviewing engineering drawings.
  • Previous doc control and/or experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Experience working in SolidWorks.
