Job description

GENERAL DUTIES: Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise DNS environments, including BlueCat DNS and F5 GTM solutions. Manage DNS zones, records, and policies to ensure high availability and resiliency. * Implement DNS security best practices, including DNSSEC, monitoring, and threat mitigation.

Collaborate with network and security teams to design and support scalable DNS and traffic management solutions. Support integration of DNS with DHCP and IPAM services. * Perform regular system maintenance and updates across DNS servers and related infrastructure.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide root cause analysis for DNS and network traffic disruptions. Automate administrative tasks using scripting (Bash, Python, or similar). * Provide after-hours support as part of a designated on-call rotation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience administering enterprise DNS platforms, preferably BlueCat DNS. * Hands-on expertise with F5 Global Traffic Manager (GTM) for DNS-based load balancing.

Strong Linux system administration skills (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar). Proficiency in shell scripting and/or automation tools (Ansible, Python). * Understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, firewalls, and general networking concepts.

Knowledge of DNSSEC, DNS forwarding, split-brain DNS, and related technologies. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-availability environments. CLEARANCE: * TS/SCI required
