Division Vice President, Business Unit Manager

Location: Warrendale, PA, US, 15086 Business Unit: Gatan

The Division Vice President / Business Unit Manager (DVP/BUM) will lead the Electron Microscopy Technologies (EMT) business unit, with full responsibility for the overall profit and loss performance. This role drives the strategic direction, revenue growth, and long-term positioning of the business while ensuring delivery of both strategic and annual commitments. The position is based onsite in Pittsburgh, PA and reports directly to the Materials Analysis Division VP/General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Business Performance
  • Lead the overall strategic direction and execution of the EMT growth plan
  • Drive revenue growth and profitability, with accountability for full P&L performance
  • Make strategic recommendations to optimize revenue growth, improve working capital, and increase operating profit year over year
  • Deliver double-digit revenue growth while scaling profitability accordingly
  • Accurately forecast and predict business results and meet operating plan commitments
  • Ensure global financial performance is effectively managed and reported
  • Growth & Market Expansion
  • Drive strategic development, market expansion, and key customer relationships
  • Lead execution of AMETEK's four growth strategies: new product development, global and market expansion, mergers and acquisitions, operational excellence
  • Execute merger and acquisition plans

  • Ensure effective new product launches and product lifecycle management
  • Maintain strong focus on engineering and R&D execution to deliver roadmap projects ahead of schedule and above quality expectations

Requirements

  • Experience & Education
  • Proven full P&L responsibility for a standalone business unit
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience leading a highly engineered product organization
  • MBA preferred
  • Leadership & Functional Expertise
  • Strong leadership capabilities with focus on operational efficiency, organizational alignment, and talent development
  • Solid background in engineering and operations, including lean principles
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing market expansion strategies
  • Strong financial acumen and business strategy development
  • Experience in technical project management and product development processes
