Job description

Background & Purpose of the Job:

A Supervisor is assigned to each zone and holds full responsibility for its operations, including safety, quality, efficiency, and accuracy. The Supervisor is accountable for all activities within the zone, including any issues that arise. This role operates under general guidance from the Department Manager and receives daily direction from Department Administration. The Supervisor is responsible for assigning tasks to team members and ensuring all work is completed effectively and in line with established standards.

Who You Are & What You'll Do:

The Distribution Supervisor's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assign specific tasks to team membersย 
  • Schedule and organize daily workflow in alignment with operational plansย 
  • Reassign employees within the zone as needed to meet prioritiesย 
  • Enforce workplace policies and maintain discipline within the teamย 
  • Communicate work-related information clearly and effectively to staffย 
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and that visual quality inspections are conductedย 
  • Monitor staff productivity and run reports to ensure operational efficiencyย 
  • Ensure orders are processed in a timely manner and all compliance requirements are metย 
  • Assist with the reconciliation of cancellation reportsย 
  • Maintain and ensure inventory accuracyย 
  • Support the implementation and ongoing compliance of OSHA 18001 Safety and ISO 14001 environmental systemsย 

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous supervisory, task coordination, or project management experience requiredย 
  • 3-5 years of distribution or warehouse operations experienceย
