Overview

Distribution Supervisor

We are a sporting goods retailer with over 250 locations throughout the Midwest. Due to growth and expansion, we need to add a Floor Supervisor to our fast-paced Distribution Center Team located in Marion, IN. This position is responsible for leading their team in achieving productivity goals while maintaining a positive work environment.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews reports to determine daily department staffing levels.
  • Promotes and supports safety programs to reduce or eliminate employee injuries.
  • Plans daily production goals.
  • Maintains positive employee relations and records on a daily basis.
  • Conducts employee counseling, reviews and evaluations.
  • Conducts weekly and monthly staffing meetings with Operations Managers.
  • Utilizes Standard Operating Procedures to correct and coach associates.

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of specific functions within a distribution center.
  • Excellent employee relations skills.
  • Good organization and prioritization skills.
  • Acute attention to detail.

Experience:

  • Must have 2 years’ experience successfully supervising a department within a large distribution center environment.
