Content Platforms & Operations is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney's linear networks and streaming content. This includes Disney's media supply chain, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, and more. The global team also plays a critical role as the primary collaboration point for Product & Technology with Disney's EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams.

Job Summary:

The Planning & Title Insights (P&TI) team is looking for a Product Manager II to provide support for the financial planning and cost management tooling ecosystem and related platforms. This individual will have the opportunity to be part of the team that will define and launch products in support of various initiatives across Content Platforms & Operations, including the global transformation of Distribution Operations cost management tools and workflows.

Key responsibilities include gathering & prioritizing business requirements and translating that into product specifications. Working in a cross-functional team environment with design, engineering, infrastructure, and QA, this role will help reimagine the product for the future business of The Walt Disney Company, with a focus on maximizing automation, driving operational improvements, and enabling big rock initiatives.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, QA, and program management to deliver product solutions aligned with strategy and business objectives
  • Execute day-to-day product lifecycle activities, including backlog management, sprint ceremonies (planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives), and release coordination
  • Identify opportunities, define requirements, and prioritize initiatives for product features that meet business goals and KPIs
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine business needs into clear user stories, workflows, and functional requirements
  • Write detailed user stories with precise acceptance criteria; support development, QA, and UAT to ensure product intent is accurately implemented
  • Drive Agile best practices across teams, including requirements gathering, iterative delivery, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain product documentation such as process maps, system guides, and training materials to support users and internal teams
  • Support product launches and enhancements through UAT planning, test script development, change management, and business adoption efforts
  • Contribute to business case development, project approval documentation, and measurement of product impact against defined success metrics
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, facilitate client reviews, and coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure alignment, governance, and successful delivery

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of product management experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and matrixed organization, executing on several initiatives concurrently while balancing competing priorities
  • Demonstrate product understanding and platform familiarity
  • Demonstrate strong presentation and ability to clearly communicate goals, status, and issues
  • Demonstrate strong technical writing skills
  • Demonstrate ability to craft and validate problems
  • Demonstrated ability to use artificial intelligence (AI) technologies
  • Demonstrate ability to define Product Roadmaps
  • Demonstrate understanding of business modeling and analysis vis structured cost/benefit analysis
  • Exhibits a clear understanding of development process, methodologies, and tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to distill information accurately and convey it (verbally and/or written) to business partners and internal technology teams
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating across functional teams
  • Exhibits appreciation and experience in incorporating data science and analytics in holistic product solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure or experience with Agile development tools, such as Jira and Confluence
  • Knowledge of or experience in media & entertainment industry
  • Enthusiasm and interests in Disney brands
  • Understanding of media production workflows, supply chain workflows or Finance workflows

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $117,500.00 to $157,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
