This is a 18 month project hire position with no guarantee of permanent placement.

The Disney Signature Experiences and Data team delivers innovative technology solutions across Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, and our global Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions tour businesses. We support Guest and Crew experiences, enable commercial growth through digital platforms, and lead the segment’s data strategy. With a strong focus on reliability, scalability, and strategic expansion, we build the systems that support immersive experiences and unlock new opportunities for growth. 

Strategic Growth Opportunities – This role is on the Strategic Growth Opportunities team, which explores and delivers new technology capabilities to support business expansion and innovation across Disney Signature Experiences. 

The Product Manager role serves as a key member of the Adventures & Expeditions product team, working across the full product lifecycle including assisting with determining the DXT strategy and delivery of products. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Management, Emerging Businesses your responsibilities will include: 

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Management, Emerging Businesses your responsibilities will include: 

  • Collaborating effectively with all impacted cross-functional teams including technology, legal, marketing, operations, finance, creative and other product organizations to establish strategies using technology to drive the business. 
  • Working across various business, technology, and external vendor teams to help define product strategy, develop and maintain roadmaps, define features and functionality, and priority. 
  • Documenting features by translating business requirements into appropriate Product artifacts (including, but not limited to, project briefs, strategy decks, user stories, acceptance criteria, go-to-market plans)
  • Serving as the representative for product management in day-to-day activities, including acting as the day-to-day product POC for multi-phase capital and/or expense projects.
  • Serving as part of squad on projects, assisting with their successful completion. 
  • Supporting defect triage activities by working with technical, creative, and production teams to identify root cause through resolution, providing support, and escalation for blockers/impediments. 
  • Negotiating through blockers. 
  • Managing and prioritizing Jira product backlog. 
  • Providing product and scorecard updates to business and technology leadership. 
  • Validating all work in QA environment and then again in production environment to ensure completion 
  • Working closely with partners to understand their business needs and roadmap to relay information to Lead Product Manager, Product leadership and technical leaders/teams. 
  • Supporting delivery and ongoing maintenance, which may include product build, content configuration and on-call/incident management collaboration to ensure successful uptime of the digital experience as needed. 
  • Driving procedure documentation, testing, and general coordination of feature launches/enhancements and supporting the team with industry research, reporting/analytics, and project logistics. 

It is key for this role to have an understanding of how to use product management models and technology to create an exceptional guest experience, support business operations and optimize Cast tools in a financially constrained and rapidly changing environment.

  • Ability to work within diverse and cross-functional teams in a meaningful way to produce quality results. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in strategy development and day-to-day operations aligning with business priorities bringing the concepts to reality. 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and proven experience driving alignment across multiple stakeholders and mediums. 
  • Understanding of the latest product management frameworks and theories and how to apply them to create impactful experiences. 
  • An understanding of current Disney Experience capabilities as it relates to converging technology seamlessly into the Guest experience. 
  • Out-of-the box thinking, with the ability to broker creative solutions with internal and external teams (including vendors) to overcome roadblocks and move projects forward. 
  • Executes on data driven strategies and staying abreast of the latest business and market trends while also monitoring guest behavior through analytics and consumer testing to track against KPIs. 
  • Previous experience working with API website integrations
  • Previous experience leading itinerary launches and go-to-market implementations

Responsibilities 

  • Define and deliver against guest and business needs. 
  • Serve as a business facing contact for cross-functional partners on the Storyliving by Disney business. 
  • Collaborate with other Disney Experiences Tech & Digital teams to ensure alignment with product standards. 
  • Stay abreast of the latest technology trends to find strategic opportunities to use innovation to solve business problems. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 3+ years of product management or related work experience. 
  • Experience identifying, defining, and/or addressing technical, user and business issues in a fast-moving organization 
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and achieve results across large matrixed organizations, plus the ability to build strong and balanced 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills across all levels, including the ability to lead stakeholder requirements sessions 
  • Experience collaborating with and achieving applicable results through others and the capability to interact and influence people over whom you do not have direct authority 
  • Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action with a willingness to take personal initiative 
  • Experience handling multiple high-priority, high-visibility work streams simultaneously and ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities 
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to tweak and fine-tune documentation and processes as business needs evolve, with a focus on continuous improvement 
  • Experience with Agile software development methodology and all phases of software development life cycle 
  • Has led small to medium digital and technology projects, including collaborating on estimates, scope, and plans 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience enhancing product workflows using agentic AI and tools such as Cursor, Claude, and Copilot.
  • Experience working with Disney digital platforms, including Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions website, Seaware, and/or Quickbase.
  • Strong understanding of consumer product experience design, with the ability to build solutions that support target user groups.
  • Experience evaluating emerging technology solutions and companies for fit and viability against use cases.
  • Experience with Confluence, Jira, Miro, Microsoft Tools (including Sharepoint) and Smartsheet. 
  • Experience with Content Management systems. 
  • Highly professional, organized, inquisitive, and extremely detail-oriented. 
  • Experience communicating across the broader organizations through various mediums (i.e. presentations, email, formal/informal meetings). 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive thinker with the ability to thrive in an often ambiguous, fast paced environment. 
  • Working knowledge of markets, products, and competitive landscape (including ability to predict and explain current/future trends), and the ability to translate (both verbally and in writing) technologies into business value. 
  • Strong analytical and financial skills. 
  • Experience evaluating emerging technology solutions, including AI, and companies for fit and viability against use cases. 

Required Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study required. Graduate degree preferred.

The hiring range for this position in Celebration, FL is $111,900 to $150,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
