STORE Capital Advisors, LLC is seeking an Underwriter to join our Credit Underwriting team.
How you will contribute to STORE's mission:
The Underwriter is part of STORE's Credit Underwriting team responsible for analyzing and underwriting new investments and transactions for inclusion into STORE's $18 billion portfolio. The Underwriter has exceptional quantitative and financial analytical skills, strong organizational and communication skills, and good attention to detail.
What Will Make You Successful (Qualifications)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in analyzing financial statements of middle market businesses required.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Business, Finance, and or related field.
  • Ability to understand and interpret sophisticated corporate financial concepts, including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
  • Ability to think critically, prepare financial analysis and determine the creditworthiness of a company as a tenant.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the capacity to work independently while possessing a team attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Effective at time and task management.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize and deliver quality work under pressure.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or curriculum encouraged.

What Most Days Will Include (Primary Duties)
  • Responsible for evaluating investments, assessing key areas of risks and conformance with STORE credit standards and program requirements.
  • Responsible for underwriting, negotiating and managing single-tenant-net-lease exposure across the United States, which includes the preparation of detailed investment memoranda and presentation materials to Senior Management.
  • Analysis of property level and corporate financial statements for STORE's prospective and existing customers.
  • Form and communicate investment theses as well as strategies to mitigate any risks across tenants and industries.
  • Work closely with Acquisitions, Closing, Real Estate, Special Servicing and Accounting teams.
  • Perform other duties and projects assigned by Senior Vice President, Credit Underwriting.
