You will play a vital role in offering competitive disability benefits, ensuring financial soundness, and contributing to the company's continued success.

This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your analytical skills and make a tangible difference in the financial well-being of others. As a Disability Financial Underwriter, you will: Prepare offers for prospective and renewal clients for Short Term and Long Term Disability plans. Provide rationale and support to Sales, clients, and internal teams regarding risk selection, financial analysis, rate computations, and financial activity.

Develop expense estimates and conduct thorough analysis of financial exhibits. Understand and apply department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives. Make independent decisions regarding work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, seeking guidance when needed.

Must-Have Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Two or more years of Short Term and Long Term Disability underwriting and risk analysis experience. Comprehensive understanding of risk pool management.

Knowledge of the competitor landscape. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.

Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a remote work environment. Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences. Nice-to-Have Qualifications: Experience analyzing disability and health-related data.

Industry-related coursework. Experience with other supplemental health plans. The target hiring compensation range for this role is $43 to $47 an hour.
