Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Disability Support Worker -Mid to join our team! In this role you will get to facilitateand coordinate reasonable accommodations (RA) and personalassistanceservices (PAS) for the client civilian employees and applicants. This roleis responsible forthe intake and maintenance of RA cases, serving as a key point ofinitialcontact for the workforce,maintainingcompliance with all agency and regulatory guidance, and providing office support for employees with targeted disabilities.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Process reasonable accommodation requestsin accordance withclient and EEOC guidance. Duties include but are not limited to monitoring RA mailbox, providing RA forms to employees and applicants, responding to RA RFIs, creating case files with the RA databases, reviewing intake documentation for completeness, making initial contact between the requestor and the RA Specialist, coordinating delivery of RA equipment to employees, and closing case files, as needed or directed.
  • Maintain all case files and databasesin accordance withagency guidance and standards.
  • Serve as a primary point ofinitialcontact for employees, supervisors, and managers on reasonable accommodation.
  • This DSW key personnel will also provide direct service to employees and applicants with targeted disabilities as needed,mainly asa back-fill for when an individual's primary DSW is unavailable.Duties include, but are not limited to, note taking at meetings, keyboard mouse navigation, keyboard typing, data entry, holding and movement of materials, dialing and answering the telephone, lifting maps and charts, filing, and other general administrative tasks.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Education/Experience: Aminimum of anAssociate's degree in Human Resources, Disability Studies, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, orin lieu of a degree,5 years of equivalent experience in a related role.
  • Core Skills: Highly developed critical thinking, problem-solving, customer support, and communication skills (oral and written). Ability to handle sensitive personnel information with discretion.Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) isrequired.
