(This role has a hybrid schedule with 3 days in office and 2 days flex-remote)

The UHS Corporate Insurance Department is seeking a Claims Assistant support to Insurance Department and claims functions with administrative support.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Processes check requests, wires etc for payments and attach backups to claims. Assures file is updated in the Claims RIMS system.
  • Assists with the distribution of video surveillance in response to requests from claims or risk staff.
  • Assists Claims Director with new incidents/new claims/Letters of representation/lawsuits.
  • Scans settlements/settlement reports/settlement authorizations and other pertinent documents that pertain to specific claims into RMISAssists with maintenance of all Rolodex databases in RMIS.
  • Provides RMIS system derived calendar for Claims Director for upcoming trials.
  • Produces monthly reports for VP and claims director regarding open matters.
  • Oversees/tracks/logs incoming vendor for served lawsuits /complaints and forwards to Claims Director or assigned claims staff.
  • Performs file closures.
  • Assists remote staff with support.

Qualifications
High school diploma required with one to three years of experience in claims environment and administrative support. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Comfortable with data entry in various systems including STARS/Riskonnect RMIS.
  • Computer skills with proficiency in MS word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • English verbal and written fluency.
  • Willingness to learn new software programs.
  • Basic financial understanding.
  • High degree of accuracy and detail focused with transaction processing.
