Responsibilities
What you'll be able to do:
Technical Program Manager - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the aforementioned worksite. Lead software teams to deliver on key project milestones and software releases per vehicle program timing. Create program timing plans based on available resources and required features for software teams. Work with cross-functional teams within the In-Vehicle Infotainment department and other teams within Ford to evaluate, develop, and clarify requirements. Analyze and decompose requirements into consumable work tasks for software developers and testers. Track and manage the software development and implementation of requirements for features by working with the software development and quality assurance teams. Prioritize and drive software defects to closure to meet software release timing. Evaluate incoming feature requests and identify future resource needs based on these requests. Quantify feature release quality by evaluating projected software defect rate and number of open defects.
Qualifications
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Project management experience in software-based consumer or automotive products. 2. Developing software-based consumer or automotive products by developing functional use cases, test cases, and technical requirements. 3. Agile software development processes. 3 years of experience with the following skill is required: 1. Software development using C, C++, Java or Kotlin. 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Triaging issues using the logs captured from devices. 2. Using software configuration management tools. 3. Managing software releases to customers.
We are offering a salary of $193,149.00/yr.
