Job description

Overview

Secure Every Identity, from AI to HumanIdentity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence. This is an opportunity to do career-defining work.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Set the Strategy: Define and own a proactive roadmap of technical storytelling, demos, and product experiences across the Okta and Auth0 portfolios — moving the function from reactive request-handling to strategic, GTM-aligned impact.
  • Champion Show, Don't Tell: Lead the creation of demos, proof-of-concepts, and product experiences that prove value and differentiate us across Okta and Auth0 use cases.
  • Prove the Okta Secures AI Story: Build the demos and proof points that show how Okta and Auth0 secure AI agents and agentic workflows, helping us win the Identity for AI category through tangible, hands‑on experiences.
  • Reinvent How Technical Marketing Gets Built: Champion AI‑powered tools and workflows to accelerate demo and content creation, scale output without scaling headcount linearly, and free the team for the highest‑value work.
  • Lead, Mentor, and Grow a Team: As a player‑coach, lead two pods of Demo & Experience Architects and Technical Content Specialists. Hire, mentor, and develop talent while personally leading the most strategic initiatives.
  • Influence the Product Roadmap: Partner deeply with Product Management to ensure technical accuracy, gain early roadmap visibility, and shape future priorities through market feedback.
  • Empower the Field: Co‑create demos, proof points, and enablement with Sales Engineering to accelerate deal cycles, capture field insights, and equip SEs to scale technical marketing to key accounts.
  • Win Competitively: Partner with Competitive Intelligence to integrate differentiated proof points into demos and technical storytelling that help us win against top competitors.
  • Align with the GTM Engine: Partner with PMM and Demand Gen to align technical narratives with core positioning, campaigns, and go‑to‑market motions.
What You'll Bring
  • 10+ years in a technical product function (technical product marketing, product marketing, sales/solutions engineering, or product management) in SaaS/enterprise software, with 5+ years in people management preferred.
  • Player‑Coach Leadership: Proven experience hiring, mentoring, and leading high‑performing technical teams while rolling up your sleeves to personally build demos and deliver strategic projects.
  • Demo & Experience Craft: Deep, hands‑on expertise building demos, proof‑of‑concepts, and product experiences that bring technical products to life and prove value to skeptical audiences.
  • AI Fluency: Hands‑on experience using AI‑powered tools to accelerate demo and content creation, plus a point of view on how AI can transform a technical marketing team — and genuine curiosity about the agentic AI landscape and its implications for identity.
  • Technical Credibility: Technical enough to go deep with the Okta and Auth0 products, build trust with both IT/security buyers and developers, and influence the product roadmap with market‑driven arguments.
  • Dual‑Audience Range: Demonstrated ability to craft technical narratives for both enterprise, sales‑led motions and developer‑focused, product‑led growth.
  • Technical Storytelling: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts simply and persuasively — from developers to C‑level executives.
  • Bias for Action: Thrive in fast‑paced environments and move with speed from strategy to execution, designing work for impact and reuse from day one.
Why Join Us

You have the opportunity to build and lead the technical marketing function for the world's leading identity platform — across both Okta and Auth0 — at the exact moment AI is reshaping the enterprise. You will set the strategy, build the team, harness AI to redefine how technical marketing is done, and create the demos and experiences that prove our value, win deals, and define the next chapter of identity in the AI era.
