About the Role
Vectra is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Technical Marketing to lead our global Technical Marketing function. This leader will define how Vectra communicates the technical value of our AI Native Security and Observability platform to customers, partners, analysts, and internal teams. The ideal candidate combines deep cybersecurity expertise with exceptional storytelling, technical enablement, and leadership capabilities.
As the bridge between Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing, you will build a high-performing team that delivers world-class technical content, competitive intelligence, product demonstrations, field enablement, and customer advocacy. You will serve as the voice of the customer internally while ensuring the field is equipped to successfully position and demonstrate Vectra's solutions.
What You'll Do-
  • Define and lead Vectra's global Technical Marketing strategy and manage a high-performing team.
  • Drive technical go-to-market readiness for product launches, including messaging, demos, training, and enablement.
  • Develop scalable technical training, documentation, certifications, and knowledge resources for internal teams.
  • Own and enhance product demo environments and technical labs.
  • Lead competitive intelligence through market analysis, battle cards, and sales enablement assets.
  • Represent Vectra in customer, analyst, and industry engagements, supporting strategic deals and gathering customer insights.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Alliances to improve product strategy and GTM execution.

Required Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in Technical Marketing, Sales Engineering, Product Management, Solutions Engineering, or related technical customer-facing roles.
  • 5+ years leading and developing high-performing technical teams.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise networking and cybersecurity technologies.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, network protocols, and enterprise architectures.
  • Solid understanding of security technologies including:
  • Network Detection & Response (NDR)
  • Identity Security
  • Cloud Security
  • AI Agents protection
  • Agentic SOC
  • SIEM
  • SOAR
  • Experience translating complex technical capabilities into compelling customer messaging.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills with experience presenting to executives, customers, analysts, and technical audiences.
  • Experience developing technical training, documentation, demonstrations, and enablement programs.
  • Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles and strategic customer engagements.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple cross-functional initiatives.

Our competitive total rewards package includes cash compensation within the range provided below. Actual pay for this position may vary based on the hired candidate's location, experience and relevant incumbent pay position.
