Description
We are looking to fill an exciting position with a worldwide leading manufacturer of military and commercial Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats as Technical Project Manager. We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to manage technical configuration and generate technical documentation for our custom military and professional watercraft. This position requires both technical and organizational skills.
Reporting to the Sales Director, responsibilities will include:
Technical Configuration Control:
  • Technical interface with the company's global engineering departments in Canada, Spain, and France company locations.
  • Creating and maintaining 2D and 3D drawings for manufacturing and configuration approval.
  • Maintaining local technical library for Sales, Production, and Purchasing departments.
  • Creating and maintaining product technical marketing sheets.
  • Maintaining configuration library for previous RHIB proposals and deliveries.
  • Advising Purchasing department on product requirements.
  • Occasional direct interface with suppliers to verify product characteristics and requirements.
  • Technical training of the Sales and Production team when applicable.
  • Participating in product evolution, development, and testing.

Technical Sales Support:
  • Maintaining price data for current products.
  • Interface between Sales and global Engineering departments, providing specification analysis and definition of the proposed product.
  • Interface with Sales team on the preparation of written price proposals.
  • Briefing Sales team on development of new equipment/options when applicable.
  • Participating with Sales team in customer meetings and marketing events.

Technical Project Support:
  • Maintaining manufacturing production schedule and coordinating with Purchasing, Production, and Shipping departments.
  • Communicating contract technical requirements to Purchasing, Production, and Shipping departments.
  • Support site quality assurance / quality control program.
  • Supporting customer visits during manufacturing process.
  • Supporting Sales and Training teams during factory tests, sea trials, and boat deliveries.
  • Follow-up and tracking of after-sales service and warranty technical issues.
  • Supporting Management team in evaluating revisions, schedules, and alternatives for active contracts.

Marketing Support:
  • Developing and maintaining a photograph library and for electronic and printed marketing material.

Requirements
Qualifications and requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • General knowledge of the maritime industry is required.
  • Military and/or watercraft operating experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Rhino7, SolidWorks, and other CAD software is required.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs)
  • Project Management experience is highly desired.
  • Some experience in Marketing or Sales is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license - French or Spanish language skills a plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • This position involves occasional work on small watercraft in the manufacturing facility and on the water.
  • Climbing ladders, kneeling, bending, and ability to work aboard boats of various sizes is required.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to travel in the U.S.
