Job description

Position: Director, Strategic Initiatives
The Director, Strategic Initiatives will lead the planning and execution of high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that are critical to Monogram Health's success. Reporting to the VP, Strategic Initiatives, this role owns initiatives from concept through execution, driving alignment across teams, developing business cases, and managing the initiative to ensure timely, high-quality delivery. The position requires strong strategic thinking, operational rigor, and the ability to navigate complex challenges while maintaining consistent leadership alignment and momentum. This role will be located in either Brentwood, TN or Tempe, AZ.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, implement, and manage complex projects, initiatives, and events that are critical to Monogram Health's long-term success, ensuring a strong commitment to exceptional, patient-centric service delivery
  • Maintain a process-focused and decisive approach to ensure effective execution of all strategies, initiatives and events to meet organizational needs with a high standard of excellence, urgency, and predictability
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams across the organization (e.g., IT, Operations, HR, Finance, Legal) to drive alignment, ensure stakeholder engagement, and support successful execution
  • Navigate operational and logistical roadblocks using ingenuity, determination, and advocacy to achieve desired outcomes
  • Translate corporate strategy into front-line operational tactics and execution with a high degree of independence
  • Develop and own business cases, financial proformas, and supporting materials throughout the lifecycle of strategic initiatives
  • Create compelling, executive-ready PowerPoint slides and full decks and deliver regular strategic updates to senior leadership
  • Proactively engage internal support functions to socialize initiatives and needs including but not limited to clinical operations, information technology, revenue cycle management, data analytics, legal and compliance, finance, and human resources
  • Proactively manage dependencies, follow up consistently, and ensure deliverables remain on track
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, orientation, onboarding, and recurring training of staff
  • As needed, establish and conduct vendor oversight processes and performance reviews in alignment with vendor agreements

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree, such as MBA or MPH preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in healthcare including a minimum of three (3) years leading complex projects or strategic initiatives
  • Ability to lead and manage a complex initiative end-to-end, including planning, driving cross-functional accountability, clearly assigning ownership, and escalating effectively to minimize delays
  • Able to translate goals into structured workplans, including tasks, timelines, and clearly communicated expectations across stakeholders
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills, with the ability to develop clear, concise, and executive-ready presentations
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to enhance productivity, including prompt development and workflow integration
  • Thrives working in a fast-paced, private-equity-backed healthcare environment, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight timelines
  • Comfortable with regular exposure to senior leaders and presenting to executive-level stakeholders
  • Thrives in ambiguous environments, proactively identifying solutions and driving forward momentum
  • Experience developing business cases, including research, problem identification, operational design, financial modeling, and risk assessment, is strongly preferred
  • Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced healthcare environment strongly preferred
