Position Overview
The Director of Strategic Initiatives is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing high-impact research, thought leadership, and special projects that advance the organization's strategic objectives and industry influence. Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, this role serves as a trusted partner in driving executive priorities, managing cross-functional initiatives, and developing market-leading content, research, and presentations that support business growth, brand positioning, and strategic partnerships.
The ideal candidate combines strong strategic thinking, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to translate complex ideas and research into compelling narratives that influence stakeholders both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
Thought Leadership & Research Development
  • Identify and prioritize research topics aligned with business goals, market trends, and customer interests
  • Lead the planning and execution of proprietary research projects, surveys, industry analyses, and benchmarking studies
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts and external vendors to gather and validate insights
  • Translate complex information into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences

Content Strategy & Development
  • Develop thought leadership assets including research reports, white papers, executive briefs, articles, presentations, and AI-focused industry papers
  • Create content frameworks, messaging, and narratives that support brand positioning and business objectives
  • Ensure consistency of voice, quality, and strategic messaging across all deliverables
  • Collaborate with marketing to maximize distribution and engagement

Project Management & Execution
  • Manage multiple strategic projects simultaneously from concept through publication and launch
  • Coordinate internal and external resources including designers, writers, analysts, agencies, and subject matter experts
  • Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, and stakeholder communications
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards

Executive Support & Strategic Initiatives
  • Support executive thought leadership initiatives through research, presentation development, and content creation
  • Assist with strategic presentations, speaking engagements, industry events, and special projects
  • Conduct market, competitive, and partnership research to support business initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to elevate the organization's visibility and industry influence

Qualifications and Required Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in content marketing, thought leadership, content strategy, product marketing, or a related field
  • Proven experience managing complex cross-functional projects
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities
  • Experience creating executive-level presentations and strategic content
  • Ability to synthesize research and data into actionable business insights
