About the Role
The Program Manager, Safety & Security, is responsible for planning and executing the programs, technology, and operational capabilities that enable Success Academy's enterprise Safety & Security function. This role transforms operational challenges into scalable solutions that improve emergency preparedness, strengthen Command Center operations, modernize technology, and deliver consistent, high-quality safety services across the organization.
Reporting to the Director of Safety & Security, this role leads and owns Safety & Security programs from design through execution, ensuring they are scalable, measurable, and continuously improving.
Success in this role requires exceptional program leadership, knowledge of modern security operations and technology platforms, and the ability to lead multiple high-impact initiatives in a fast-paced, innovative, and mission-driven environment.
What You'll Do
  • Design and lead enterprise programs that strengthen emergency preparedness, security operations, investigations, intelligence, and the 24/7 Success Academy Command Center to ensure lessons learned become lasting improvements that are scalable and replicable across the Success Academy network.
  • Emergency preparedness responsibilities include planning drills, pressure testing policies and protocols, facilitating tabletop exercises, and conducting after-action reviews.
  • Continuously improve and innovate the operating procedures and governance processes that guide how Safety & Security services are delivered across the enterprise for our scholars, staff, events, and school and office locations.
  • Responsibilities include leading cross-functional projects with Technology, Schooling, Legal, Supply Chain, HR, Communications, Operations, and other Network teams to implement new programs, improve workflows, and strengthen Safety & Security programs and protocols.
  • Support Command Center data integration and analytic reporting to identify security trends, refine operating procedures, review and evaluate service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs), and improve quality and efficiency of our safety and security operations.
  • Coordinate enterprise response during significant incidents, ensuring the right people are engaged, leaders have timely information, and response efforts remain organized and effective.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve how Safety & Security operates-whether through technology, AI and automation tools, process redesign, vendor management, reporting, or new ways of working and thinking.
  • Responsibilities include partnering with technology teams and vendors to implement new capabilities to organize and visualize data, improve existing platforms, automate manual work, and enhance the tools that support Safety & Security operations and cultivate innovative problem solving.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 4+ years of security industry experience, to include leading and supporting enterprise programs within corporate security, public safety, emergency management, investigations, intelligence, or other mission-critical operational environments.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of Global Security Operations Centers (GSOCs), Command Center operations, emergency preparedness, intelligence, and incident management.
  • Experience implementing enterprise security technologies such as incident management, mass notification, Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) research, access control, video management, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with outsourced operations or third-party vendors through key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and their continuous improvement.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication and relationship management skills with experience briefing senior leaders and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple high-impact initiatives while exercising sound judgment in fast-paced operational environments.

Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience leading or managing programs in a 24/7 Command Center, Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), or Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
  • Experience in a cross functional corporate global security environment.
  • Experience with crisis management, business continuity, corporate duty of care, or enterprise resilience.
  • Formal intelligence analysis and writing training via the Private Sector, Intelligence Community, Military, or Law Enforcement
  • Participation in security industry professional associations such as Analyst Roundtable, Association of International Risk & Intelligence Professionals (AIRIP), Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP), American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), InfraGard, Domestic Security Alliance Council (DSAC), Overseas Security and Advisory Council (OSAC).
