Position Overview

Sr Director of Sales is responsible for developing strategic relationships with Administrators, OEM's. Retailers, Managed Service Providers, Brokers and more; promoting AIG Warranty capabilities and developing our industry position as an Obligor, Underwriter and Administrator. Building industry relationships, owning business development, and helping to guide our solution designs to support growth. He/she will articulate our value proposition that will be used to approach prospective clients. Build a robust pipeline of new potential clients, after which the account management team will support progress on negotiations and prioritize those with the greatest potential.


How you will make an impact


  • Develop a pipeline of potential clients and lead sales activities to win new business as aligned with AIG Warranty leadership growth strategies.
  • Provide industry insights and AIG strategic direction related to service contract offerings
  • Work closely with VP of Business Development and National Accounts to provide current market and industry trends and anticipate hurdles to ensure that organizational design and tools are designed to remain competitive in the marketplace.
  • Establishing good working relationships with potential clients, posturing self as trusted source of knowledge and innovation.
  • Ensure that proposed client agreements align with operational process capacity of AIG and that AIG and its clients and partners can execute within the boundaries of the agreements.
  • Partner with contracted third-party vendors when needed to support proposals for execution of sales and marketing strategies for new business.
  • Initiate new business support from internal departments to ensure that new opportunities strategic goals are understood and can be delivered on appropriately, including customer service, service dispatch, claims, finance, underwriting, and IT.
  • Work closely with Finance to forecast and plan both sales and cost related financial impacts of new business program(s) to overall AIG profit and loss.
  • Provide input on operational strategies related to the growth and maintenance of existing and new clients.
