Job Summary
Position title: Director of Strategic Parntersip and Business Developement
Position Overview: The Director of Strategic Partnerships & Business Development will play a key role in advancing Essen Health Care's mission through the identification, development, and management of strategic partnerships and business growth initiatives. This role will focus on fostering relationships with health plans, elected officials, community-based organizations, and other critical stakeholders to expand the organization's market share, drive revenue growth, and ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals. This position requires a strong leader with proven experience in business development, healthcare partnerships, and community engagement to drive Essen's growth and enhance its presence in the healthcare market.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Business Development:
• Develop and implement strategic business development plans that align with Essen Health Care's objectives, driving both patient revenue growth and market share expansion in key healthcare sectors
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to stay informed on industry developments and adjust strategies accordingly.
Partnership Development & Relationship Management:
• Identify and cultivate relationships with key external stakeholders, including health plans, elected officials, community-based organizations, and other partners, to advance Essen's mission and business objectives.
• Negotiate and manage partnerships, sponsorships, grants, and collaborative projects that align with Essen's growth and community outreach goals.
• Foster long-term partnerships through regular communication, problem-solving, and collaboration to ensure continued success and alignment with organizational goals.
Community Outreach & Events:
• Plan and execute community outreach initiatives that promote Essen Health Care's services and values, strengthening its visibility and community presence. This includes organizing health fairs, screenings, educational programs, and local health initiatives.
• Coordinate and manage community events such as health awareness campaigns, patient education workshops, and volunteer opportunities, ensuring they align with organizational objectives and engage the local population.
• Represent Essen at community events, public forums, and local government meetings to engage with residents, healthcare advocates, and policymakers.
• Build and nurture relationships with local community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to establish Essen Health Care as a trusted community partner.
• Ensure successful execution of events, including logistical coordination, budgeting, and post-event follow-up to gauge impact and improve future initiatives.
Public Relations & Media Engagement:
• Collaborate with internal teams, particularly marketing and communications, to enhance Essen's visibility and reputation within the healthcare industry and local communities.
• Represent Essen Health Care at community events, public forums, and meetings with local government officials to advocate for the company and its mission.
• Build strong relationships with community leaders and organizations to further the company's outreach efforts and build awareness of services offered by Essen.
• Address community feedback and concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that the company's services meet the needs of the population we serve.
Program & Project Management:
• Lead and manage strategic business development initiatives, ensuring that all programs and activities are aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor the success of business development programs and partnerships through KPIs and reporting metrics, providing updates to the Senior Vice President of Network Development and Growth.
• Oversee the implementation and execution of community outreach programs and events, ensuring they effectively contribute to building brand awareness and expanding Essen's patient base.
Team Leadership & Coordination:
• Supervise and mentor business development and community relations staff, providing guidance on strategic initiatives and career growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure cohesive business development efforts across the organization.
• Manage the budget for strategic partnerships and community outreach, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to achieve business goals.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Experience:
o Minimum of 7-10 years in business development, partnerships, and community engagement, preferably in the healthcare sector.
o Proven experience in driving revenue growth and securing strategic partnerships with health plans, community organizations, and government entities.
o Strong track record of managing complex relationships and negotiating successful contracts and partnerships.
o Experience in managing teams and mentoring staff in business development or community relations roles.
• Skills:
o Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior-level stakeholders.
o Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on growth and innovation.
o Skilled in market analysis and understanding competitive landscapes.
o Proven ability to drive results through effective negotiation and relationship management.
o Proficiency with CRM software and business development tools.
• Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
