Summary: The Director of Partnerships is a highly motivated entrepreneurial sales leader responsible for driving significant revenue growth through strategic corporate partnerships. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and securing new sponsorship opportunities while strengthening and expanding existing relationships.

This individual will leverage a full portfolio of integrated marketing assets—including signage, promotions, digital, television, radio, hospitality, and ticketing—to create compelling, multi-platform partnerships. This role plays a critical role in expanding the organization’s sponsorship footprint and delivering innovative, revenue-generating solutions.

The position reports directly to the Team President and collaborates cross-functionally across all departments, including close coordination with the Milwaukee Bucks sponsorship team.


Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed established annual revenue and sales targets.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new partnership revenue streams.
  • Develop & execute strategies to diversify and expand corporate partner base.
  • Create customized, multi-tiered partnership packages that maximize revenue across all team events and platforms.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within existing partners.
  • Secure long-term and multi-year agreements to ensure sustained growth.
  • Build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with corporate partners.
  • Serve as primary liaison between partners and team.
  • Ensure successful execution and activation of all partnership agreements in collaboration with Director of Game Production & Partnership Activation.
  • Deliver best-in-class service to drive partner satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to create innovative partnership inventory and activation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Public Relations, and Digital teams to develop integrated campaigns, promotions, and special events.
  • Assist and support community engagement initiatives, including youth programs and outreach events.
  • Help develop digital integration strategies tied to corporate sponsorship activation.
  • Partner with Team President to manage and evolve team’s rate card.
  • Lead contract negotiations and collaborate with Milwaukee Bucks legal counsel to finalize partnership agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Prepare proposals, sales materials, reports, and performance analysis to support business development efforts.
  • Track and manage partnership performance metrics and deliverables.


Game Day Responsibilities:

  • Manage and help coordinate game day sponsorship activation
  • Host & entertain prospective and current partners.
  • Address and resolve partner-related issues in real time.
  • Assist with game-day operations, including setup and breakdown of sponsorship assets.
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and direction for assigned event staff/resources.


Retail:

  • Act as Director of Retail on inventory levels by collaborating with Milwaukee on orders
  • Oversee day-to-day operations
  • Manage, hire, and train retail staff
  • Complete all necessary reporting for Team and League
  • Receive, update, and store inventory


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in partnership sales, sponsorships, or a related revenue-generating role preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, sports management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentation and public speaking abilities.
  • Creative, solutions-oriented thinker with a strong sales mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Highly organized with strong project management and multitasking capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
