Position Summary

The Learning and Development Specialist works closely with the Learning and Development Manager to coordinate and facilitate employee orientation, training, and development programs across the Firm. This role supports training delivery, new hire evaluation processes, reporting and analysis, and collaboration with department leaders to ensure training effectiveness and operational consistency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Facilitating New Hire Orientation and supporting onboarding initiatives for new team members across departments, including the coordination of new hire training schedules
  • Maintaining audit-ready training and performance documentation to support employment decisions and compliance standards
  • Partnering with department leaders, managers, and subject matter experts to support training readiness, onboarding consistency, and operational alignment
  • Identify training gaps and opportunities for process improvement through employee feedback, reporting, and performance trends
  • Assisting with the design, development, and maintenance of training materials, job aids, reference guides, and learning resources
  • Supporting the delivery of instructor-led virtual, and hands-on training programs related to leadership development, firm procedures, software systems, and operational processes
  • Coordinating training schedules, course assignments, and learning activities through the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Compiling and analyzing LMS reports, training completion records, and onboarding metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborating with the Learning and Development Manager to evaluate training effectiveness and user adoption of policies, procedures, and systems
  • Participating in special projects and additional Learning & Development initiatives as assigned
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in training, learning & development, or instructional design
  • Strong facilitation skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels in the Firm
  • Experience delivering instructor-led in-person and virtual training sessions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability for high level project management
  • Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in education, organizational development or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in a legal environment or professional services
  • Familiarity with adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
