Overview/Job Summary

The Director of Programming will lead the full lifecycle development, integration, and delivery of enterprise-level technology solutions. This leadership role will drive innovation and technology strategy for scalable solutions across artificial intelligence, enterprise applications, systems integration, cloud platforms, data architecture, business analytics, and operational optimization. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities and a proven ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives. This role will oversee enterprise systems integrations, automation initiatives, IT development teams and initiatives, and modernization efforts that support operational excellence and enterprise growth.

Duties/Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

• Define and execute enterprise application and development strategies aligned with

organizational goals and operational priorities

• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve

scalability, automation, and operational efficiency

• Develop and maintain enterprise IT architectural roadmaps and framework

• Lead cross-functional initiatives across Marketing, HR, Operations, Accounting,

Compliance, and IT

• Establish IT development governance frameworks and standards, and establish

development, data security, integration, and operational best practices

• Execute IT General Controls

• Drive continuous improvement across IT systems, workflows, and team

performance

• Manage enterprise vendors, consultants, and strategic technology partners

Applications Development

• Assess the long-term supportability, scalability, architectural viability of strategic

applications and develop recommendations for future-state roadmaps

• Lead enterprise automation initiatives including workflow and job orchestration,

ensuring reliability and operational efficiencies

• Lead design and implementation of high-performance web and business

applications

• Develop and maintain enterprise documentation including architecture diagrams,

workflow standards, DevOps standards, data classifications, integration mappings,

and audit support materials

• Oversee development and integration of enterprise applications including:

o Human Capital Management systems (Dayforce)

o Automotive retail platforms (DMS/Tekion)

o CRM platforms

o Learning Management Systems (LMS)

o Document Management Systems

o Accounting and operational systems

• Ensure seamless integration of APIs, databases, SaaS applications and middleware

across hybrid platforms

Data & Analytics

• Direct enterprise data strategy initiatives including data governance, warehousing,

analytics, and reporting

• Lead implementation and optimization of Customer Data Platforms (CDP) and

business intelligence solutions

• Oversee data integration, transformation, security, and secure data transfer

methodologies

• Drive structured and event-driven data initiatives that support actionable business

insights

Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

• Guide architecture and deployment of cloud and hybrid technology environments,

including secure data exchange with business partners

• Oversee API strategy, integrations, and enterprise data exchange standards

• Ensure enterprise systems maintain scalability, reliability, performance, and

security

• Establish and mature DevOps and CI/CD pipelines

• Drive operational efficiencies through automation and high-volume transaction

processing

Performs other related duties to benefit the mission/vision of the organization

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Management

Information Systems, or related field; equivalent experience considered

• 10+ years of hands-on experience designing, managing, and delivering enterprise

applications, integrations, or workflow automation solutions

• 10+ years of leadership experience managing development teams, enterprise

initiatives, and large-scale technology projects

• 5+ years of experience supporting automotive Dealer Management Systems (DMS),

Fixed Operations, Financial systems, and CRM platforms

• Strong background in enterprise architecture, SaaS platforms, and cloud

technologies

• 5+ years of experience with:

o Database technologies

o Data integration and transformation

o Secure data transfer methodologies

o Data governance and security

• Experience with IT governance, audits, compliance standards, and project

management methodologies

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts

to both technical and non-technical audiences

Technical Skills

• Programming: JavaScript, .NET, modern web frameworks (Vue.js preferred)

• Data Technologies: SQL, Snowflake, data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines

• DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, automation tools

• Systems Integration: APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures

• Platforms:

o CRM and DMS platforms (Tekion preferred)

o Human Capital Management systems (Dayforce preferred)

o Learning Management Systems (LMS)

o Document management systems

o Cloud and SaaS environments

Travel Requirements

• Regular collaboration across corporate offices: Utah, Dallas, and Atlanta
