ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FRONT OFFICE – THE OVERVIEW
We need an exceptional and passionate Assistant Director of Front Office to join our team and support the Director of Front Office. The Assistant Director of Front Office is responsible for ensuring the operation of the Front Office, Guest Services, Bell Services, PBX and Concierge in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner, providing all guests with quality service prior to and throughout their stay, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. Union Experience Required.

NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB

  • Supporting and reporting into the Director of Front Office
  • Take ownership of the guest journey to ensure that we create a truly unique Generator experience
  • Attend FLSD training and pass on-site test for property
  • Strive to continuously “raise the bar” by improving standards of performance, redefining the property experience by achieving outstanding customer satisfaction
  • Ensure that our social spaces embody the Generator brand and culture
  • Play a part in ensuring that there is a responsible person onsite at all times
  • Build and lead a FOH team who get Generator and want to be themselves
  • Ensure that your team remains up to date with all local, national and international trends
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately in all directions so that the team understands its goals and is motivated to achieve them
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of and ensure compliance with all union, local legislation and regulations pertaining to your department

WHAT’S IN YOUR DNA

  • Passionate for hospitality and the youth travel market

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to coach, mentor, train and develop crew members
  • Fluent in English and knowledge of a second language is desirable
  • Hands-on experience in a previous Union Hotel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Available to work as reasonably needed in line with business requirements 

YOUR ROCK STAR EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience working in the hospitality industry and in a similar role
  • Minimum 3 years of customer service experience ideally in a hotel setting
  • Conversant in at least one Property Management System
