We are seeking an innovative and forward-thinking leader to join our Global Technology Strategy & Architecture (GTSA) team as Director of AI & Emerging Technologies Strategy. This pivotal role is responsible for evaluating, piloting, and driving the adoption of cutting-edge technologies including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, blockchain, and new products across the enterprise. The successful candidate will design and execute proofs of concept, partner with domain and platform teams to scale successful pilots and provide thought leadership on emerging trends that align technology advancements with business priorities. The Director will also serve as a visible evangelist for emerging technologies, representing the organization at industry events, conferences, and forums, and fostering a strong culture of technology innovation both internally and externally.

Role Overview:

  • Lead the assessment, piloting, and scaling of emerging technologies and innovations, with a particular emphasis on AI and advanced tech domains.

  • Design and deliver proofs of concept, collaborating closely with domain architects and platform teams to ensure successful transition from pilot to enterprise adoption.

  • Drive thought leadership by identifying technology trends, publishing insights, and facilitating dialogue throughout the organization.

  • Champion the evangelism of AI and emerging technologies by actively participating in industry events, building awareness, and sharing best practices with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Partner with the office of AI and domain architecture teams to align emerging technology strategy with wider business goals and priorities.

  • Work alongside the Platform & Technology Architecture team to develop and refine strategies and capabilities for new technologies.

  • Foster and leverage external partnerships and networks including academia, industry groups, and technology alliances to accelerate innovation and adoption of emerging solutions.

  • Champion innovation and foster a culture of continuous learning and experimentation within the GTSA community.

  • Support the adoption and integration of agentic AI to enhance operational efficiency across GTSA Operations.

  • Contribute to architectural governance, participating in target state reviews and architecture review boards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, interoperability, and compliance of emerging technology.

Charlotte Base Salary Range: $236,692-$402,376

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
