About the Team
This critical role will be in the Ag Services & Oilseeds finance team at ADM. You will have the opportunity to be a key influencer within the organization to help grow and drive positive results and drive insights into capital projects and processes throughout the organization. This position will report to the End to End Supply Chain Finance Director, Ag Services & Oilseeds.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.
  • Master degree is preferred. CMA or CPA is also helpful.
  •  At least 7-10 years of proven experience in capital projects or construction finance, manufacturing facilities cost initiatives, and capex business case development and analysis, ideally in publicly traded or large private company.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking.
  • Exceptional financial analysis and modeling skills, pre and post (lookback) project execution.
  • Project management skills.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and data analysis tools, proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills with finance and non-finance (commercial, operations, procurement etc) stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Business Unit leaders to develop and review the business cases for capital expenditures for growth and efficiency initiatives across ADM
  • Build and analyze Capex models for reasonableness and accuracy.  This includes:
    • Assess the reasonableness of cost estimates and projected financial returns.
    • Benchmark projected returns against prior and/or related Capex projects, industry trends, and related external resources.
    • Determine whether all accounting implications are properly reflected.  This includes analysis of depreciation and amortization, lease accounting (if applicable), and related areas.
    • Assess working capital requirements and implications on the forecasted results.
  • Support finance and accounting team with timely and accurate monitoring and reporting of capex project status and compliance with ADM capital spending policies and procedures.
    • Support other business development work streams as needed on business development and M&A transactions including: Deal scoping, Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, Due diligence, and SPA negotiation.
  • Help ensure our end-to-end Capex processes are optimized across the organization.
    • Collaborate with our core business development team on process improvements related to pre- and post-review Capex and M&A activity.
