Job description

Director of Integration

Legent Health · Flexible Location w/ Preference for Plano, TX / Travel Required · Full-Time

ASC / Surgical Hospital Experience | Up to 80% Travel | 2–3 Month Site Engagements

We are looking for someone who has worked inside an ASC or surgical hospital and understands how these facilities operate — someone who can parachute into a new site, earn trust quickly, oversee a platform implementation from day one & personally drive key elements of that integration. We are also looking for someone who can manage multiple projects and can establish trusted relationships with new physicians & team members, other Legent corporate leaders & key vendors / partners.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Integration is responsible for supporting the operational integration of newly partnered ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) and surgical hospitals into the Legent Health platform. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role serves as a key operational partner during integration activities and works closely with facility leadership, physicians, corporate departments, and external vendors to support successful implementations.

This role is ideal for someone who has worked directly within an ASC or surgical hospital environment and understands the day-to-day realities of facility operations. The Director of Integration must be comfortable working onsite in fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects at once, and helping facilities navigate operational changes during periods of transition and growth.

Integrations may include operational workflow implementation, revenue cycle coordination, technology transitions, vendor analysis, reporting standardization, physician onboarding, and post-acquisition stabilization efforts.

This position requires significant travel, including extended onsite support during active integrations and go-live periods.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Serve as the primary point of contact during Legent platform implementations at new partner ASC and surgical hospital facilities
  • Oversee the rollout of platform components — including scheduling, billing, operational workflows, and reporting — tailored to each facility’s environment
  • Partner with physicians, facility administrators, and front-line teammates to drive adoption and resolve operational roadblocks in real time
  • Build and maintain site-specific project plans, milestone tracking, and status reporting for internal Legent function al leaders, partner physicians, facility stakeholders & the Board
  • Facilitate bi-directional communication between Legent Functional leaders and site leaders & physician partners to promote a smooth integration
  • Identify workflow gaps and process changes needed to support the Legent platform, and work with facility teams to implement them
  • Evaluate inherited vendor relationships and identify opportunities to capture value by aligning with preferred vendors
  • Coordinate training and go-live support, remaining on-site through stabilization
  • Act as the bridge between facility leadership and Legent’s product, implementation, and support teams
  • Document lessons learned and contribute to the ongoing refinement of Legent’s surgical facility implementation playbook
  • Support other corporate and / or facility-level initiatives, to include physician practice integration / development, ancillary service line development, and construction projects)
  • Assist with additional operational initiatives, including physician practice integration, ancillary service line development, and facility projects as needed

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 3+ years of experience working inside an ASC, surgical hospital, or outpatient surgical setting in an administrative, operational, or management capacity
  • Solid understanding of how ASCs and surgical hospitals operate — including scheduling, revenue cycle, payer relationships, staffing models, and day-to-day facility management
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and keep a project on track without losing flexibility when real-world conditions require it
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills — you can work effectively with front-line staff, executive leadership and physicians
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and a bias toward action; you make progress without waiting for a perfect plan
  • Experience with healthcare technology platforms — EHR, practice management, or billing systems — prior implementation experience a plus
  • Willingness and ability to travel — engagements are 2–3 months with an initial significant on-site presence at facilities across the country

NICE TO HAVE

  • Multi-site or management company experience overseeing more than one ASC or surgical facility
  • Prior involvement in a system migration, platform rollout, or new facility startup
  • Familiarity with ASC accreditation and regulatory requirements (AAAHC, Joint Commission, CMS)
  • PMP certification or training a plus, but not required
  • Experience working within a large surgery platform
  • Prior exposure to project management tools or implementation methodologies

Success in This Role Includes

  • Supporting successful onboarding and stabilization of newly integrated facilities
  • Building strong working relationships with physicians and facility leadership teams
  • Excellent listening & communications skills
  • Maintaining project timelines and implementation progress across multiple integrations
  • Helping facilities adopt standardized operational workflows and processes
  • Identifying operational improvement opportunities during integration activities

WHAT THIS IS NOT

This is not a remote project management role...we are looking for a true executive “owner” of the integration process. In order to provide a high-touch service to newly-aligned physicians, this role must be present at new sites and must have the critical ability to make decisions in real-time. We value real-world ASC and surgical facility experience over methodology credentials. If you have spent years working inside these environments and know how to get people aligned and moving — you’re who we’re looking for.
