Business Development Director, APAC
Introduction
Teledyne FLIR Defense, part of Teledyne Technologies, delivers advanced sensing and imaging solutions that support critical defence missions worldwide. We are seeking a highperforming sales professional to help grow our APAC defence business, with a primary focus on Japan.
If you enjoy shaping pursuit strategies, working directly with military and government customers, and closing complex programmes that matter, this role offers real ownership and impact within a collaborative global team.
You will work across multiple product lines and functions-sales, product management, engineering, services, and compliance-building longterm customer relationships and a sustainable pipeline that drives future growth.
What you'll do
  • Lead and execute pursuit strategies for highvalue defence programmes across APAC
  • Own the endtoend sales process, from opportunity identification through order capture and postsales support
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, end users, and integrators
  • Respond to RFQs, RFPs, demonstrations, and information requests in a timely, disciplined manner
  • Analyse market needs and competitive dynamics, providing actionable feedback to leadership
  • Forecast revenue accurately and deliver predictable order growth
  • Support licensing, export, and administrative requirements in line with regulations
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally to align solutions with customer requirements
What you need
  • Required: Proven sales experience in military or parapublic defence markets
  • Required: Ability to sell through government tenders and competitive bids
