Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Sales/Accounts Manager to join our dynamic team in Asia Pacific Region (APAC), focusing on North APAC including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Mongolia and the Philippines.   The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving business growth and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, primes and contractors in the defense industry.

As the Head of North APAC's sales team, the Senior Sales/Accounts Manager is responsible for leading the team on business development, customer relationship management, and orders capture.   The Senior Sales/Accounts Manager will have 3 accounts leads and 1 sales engineer reporting to her/him.  

This expact assignment will be based either in the Philippines.   This is a high-profile and high-visibility role that will be responsible for driving the growth in one of our most rapidly expanding markets.   The role will report to the Regional Managing Director, APAC, Communications and Spectrum Dominance, who is currently based in the region.

Essential Functions:

  • Team sales/accounts management for Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Mongolia and the Philippines. Covering datalinks, tactical radio communications, SATCOM terminals, night vision and turnkey C4ISR systems.
  • Responsible for leading the team to close near-term opportunities already in the pipeline while developing longer term opportunities to grow the pipeline.
  • Responsible for developing the regional growth strategy and guiding the accounts leads to develop and execute their accounts plans.
  • Meets or exceeds annual sales targets for North APAC Region by directing activities in the field to achieve territorial sales goals in line with company growth plans.
  • Works with direct reports and supporting group of local consultants, distributors, representatives (CDR) to engage key customer accounts to provide product and mission solutions, pursue and close orders, develop new business, and maintain positive ongoing relationships.   Supervises the accounts leads to manage CDR appointments and performance.
  • Responsible to consolidate and provide timely and accurate team's orders forecasts to internal stakeholders.
  • Oversees team's adherence to L3Harris Common Capture Process and timely maintenance of CRM system.
  • Actively manages team and individual performance providing timely guidance and developing opportunities for career development and growth.
  • Expected to spend significant time outside of the office or on the phone networking and meeting with customers.
  • Travel - up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 12 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 10 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Highly developed professional communication skills; highly proficient in English.
  • A polished, confident presenter with an outgoing personality and comfortable with senior customers.
  • Demonstrated networking capabilities among various customer communities e.g. users and acquisition officials / leads in MoDs, MoIs, law enforcement organizations; military OEMs.
  • Strong people manager with preference to work in a team environment and be a collaborative team player.
  • Strong business acumen with keen strategic mindset.
  • Strong work and business ethics; Results oriented.
  • Ability to assess immediate issues and provides direction for resolution.
  • Pro-actively takes ownership of situation within skill set and leads through to satisfactory resolution.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and forward leaning disposition.
  • Understands basic supervisory approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, and process execution.
  • Previous military experience would be a plus.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C. area, Denver, or NYC areas is $149,000 - $276,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is $138,500 - $258,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
