The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Summary:

- The Director, Advanced Practice Provider Education is a unique role positioned to support the ongoing education and professional development needs for APPs throughout RWJBH

- The Director, Advanced Practice Provider Education collaboratively develops and implements educational programming as evaluated with key stakeholders

- The Director also oversees and manages the RWJBH APP Fellowship including all sites and tracks, providing supportive and collaborative leadership

- The incumbent with focus approximately 90% of their time in the administrative leadership capacity while maintaining clinical practice approximately 10%

Essential Functions:

- Collaborates with local, system and serviceline leaders to determine APP educational needs

- Leads educational programs that align with system goals and initiatives, including providing instruction for systemwide procedural courses as appropriate

- Directs educational needs in collaboration with key stakeholders, including leadership, program faculty, and preceptors to meet identified needs

- Collaboratively oversees programmatic curriculum development, educational content, and resources for APP education and transition to practice programs

- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates APP Fellowship program sites design, development, and maintenance

- Monitors APP Fellows progress across sites and tracks in communications with site Leads

- Maintains accreditation status of the APPFA

- Maintains database of Fellowship metrics

- Communicates as the RWJBH APP Fellowship representative with the accrediting body

- Leads APP Fellowship program strategy and improvement

- Thoughtfully scales Fellowship while maintaining integrity and standards

- Addresses identified clinical and non-clinical issues of APP fellows

- The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary

Education:

- Graduate of a master's degree granting accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program; doctoral degree preferred (DNP, DMSc, PhD)

Experience:

- Three years patient care experience at the Advanced Practice Provider level in a hospital setting required

- Previous experience teaching health professionals, course work in health professions education, or certification in health professions education preferred
