The Director, Nursing Account Management is a strategic sales leader responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening client partnerships, and leading a high-performing account management team. This role develops and executes consultative sales strategies that increase market share, expand existing customer relationships, secure new business opportunities, and deliver exceptional client outcomes.

The Director partners closely with division leadership to optimize team performance, improve operational effectiveness, and exceed financial targets. Through coaching, talent development, and data-driven decision-making, this leader cultivates a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans that drive revenue growth, market expansion, and increased customer share.

  • Partner with Division and Regional Leadership to align team objectives with organizational goals and business priorities.

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence to identify new growth opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage.

  • Lead initiatives that improve client retention, account penetration, and overall business performance.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Account Managers to consistently achieve and exceed performance goals.

  • Establish clear expectations, performance metrics, and accountability standards.

  • Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and career development discussions.

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on customer service, sales excellence, and professional growth.

  • Partner with Recruitment Leadership to implement training programs and reinforce best practices across teams.

Business Performance & Operations

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, and revenue targets to ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Evaluate team performance through regular reviews and implement action plans to drive continuous improvement.

  • Manage departmental resources and budgets to achieve financial goals while maintaining operational efficiency.

  • Provide accurate forecasting and strategic recommendations based on market conditions, specialty mix, fill rates, and revenue trends.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with Regional Vice Presidents, Division Vice Presidents, Recruitment Leaders, and other stakeholders to optimize customer outcomes.

  • Develop and implement action plans that address changing market conditions, customer demand, and regional performance trends.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and escalation point for key client relationships and complex business challenges.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in sales, account management, healthcare staffing, or a related industry; OR

  • High School Diploma/GED and 11+ years of progressive leadership experience in sales, account management, healthcare staffing, or a related industry.

Preferred Experience

  • Healthcare staffing, workforce solutions, or healthcare account management experience.

  • Experience leading geographically dispersed or hybrid teams.

  • Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and operational performance goals.

  • Experience developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives.

Pay Rate$77,000 - $96,000 Salary

Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
