Job description

Bravos Sign Solutions is seeking a Director of Operations for our Commercial and Digital Signs Division. This position is responsible for leading, managing, and scaling operations across both traditional and digital signage business units. This includes overseeing fabrication, logistics, project execution, digital deployments, field installations, quality assurance, and cross-functional team performance. The role ensures smooth coordination between sales, design, production, and installation teams to deliver high-quality signage solutions on time and within budget.ย 

Operational Leadershipย 

  • Oversee end-to-end operations for both commercial (static) and digital signage projects.ย 

  • Lead production planning, resource allocation, and process optimization.ย 

  • Coordinate efforts across departments: design, fabrication, digital integration, installation, and maintenance.ย 

Project Executionย 

  • Ensure timely execution of signage projects from kickoff to completion.ย 

  • Oversee field operations, installation scheduling, permitting, and site readiness.ย 

  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and client satisfaction metrics.ย 

Manufacturing & Fabrication Oversight (Commercial Signs)ย 

  • Supervise in-house or outsourced sign fabrication processes, including CNC, painting, printing, and assembly.ย 

  • Maintain safety, quality, and compliance standards for commercial signage production.ย 

  • Continuously improve workflows to reduce lead times and waste.ย 

Digital Signage Operationsย 

  • Manage logistics and technical deployment of digital signage systems (LED, LCD, kiosks, menu boards, etc.).ย 

  • Oversee installation teams, content management system (CMS) configuration, networking, and hardware setup.ย 

  • Coordinate with digital vendors for hardware, software, and integration support.ย 

Vendor & Supply Chain Managementย 

  • Maintain relationships with raw material suppliers, digital hardware manufacturers, and subcontractors.ย 

  • Negotiate pricing and contracts to optimize cost and reliability.ย 

  • Ensure consistent inventory levels and timely procurement.ย 

Process Improvement & Systemsย 

  • Identify inefficiencies and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.ย 

  • Oversee implementation of ERP, CRM, and project management systems to improve visibility and performance.ย 

Budget & Performance Managementย 

  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and operational KPIs.ย 

  • Analyze performance metrics and recommend improvements to increase profitability.ย 

  • Report regularly to executive leadership on operations progress and challenges.ย 

8. Team Leadership & Developmentย 

  • Build and lead a high-performing operations team, including plant managers, project managers, installation crews, and logistics staff.ย 

  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.ย 

  • Implement training and development programs.ย 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (Masterโ€™s preferred).

  • 7โ€“10+ years of experience in operations leadership within the signage, construction, AV integration, or manufacturing industries.

  • Proven experience managing both physical product (commercial signage) and technology-based solutions (digital signage).

  • Strong knowledge of sign industry materials, production processes, installation standards, and permitting.

  • Familiarity with digital signage platformsย networking and CMS management is a strong plus.

  • Strong project management skills; PMP certification is a plus.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.


Preferred Skills:
  • Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator (for signage designs), and project management software (Asana, Smartsheet).

  • Knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, and safety regulations.

  • Understanding of UL listings, local permitting processes, and ADA signage requirements.
