Legal Research Analyst

JOB SUMMARY
Accufile is seeking legal research analysts to provide legal and business research, and support services to our law firm clients. There are several opportunities available for hybrid and remote work arrangements.
The Research Analyst supports the firm's attorneys and business professionals by conducting legal, business, and industry research using a wide range of digital databases and specialized resources. The Research Analyst also incorporates AI-powered research tools to streamline workflows, improve accuracy, and increase efficiency.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Delivers timely, high quality legal and business research for attorneys across all practice areas using a wide range of digital and print resources, billing research time to client matters as appropriate
โ€ข Supports business professional departments-including Clients and Markets and New Business/Conflicts
โ€ข Monitors news, litigation activity, legislative and regulatory developments, and other subject specific areas; prepares and contributes to alerts, updates, newsletters, and internal communications
โ€ข Maintains expert knowledge of the library's digital platforms and demonstrates strong proficiency in search strategy, database functionality, and licensing guidelines
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong working knowledge of legal research platforms, business information databases, and research methodologies
  • Familiarity with AI-powered research tools and analytics platforms, and the ability to integrate emerging technologies into research workflows
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present research findings clearly and collaborate effectively with attorneys and business professionals
  • Highly organized, with strong time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously

Education:
  • MLS, MLIS, J.D., or equivalent required. A combination of education in a research-intensive field with relevant work experience may be considered.

Experience:
  • 3-5 years' research experience required
