Work for the World. The Finance Department (FIN) is seeking Investment Research Analysts to support the investment activities of the Fund’s Investment Unit (FIU) and Pension Investment Unit (PIU). Together, the two units manage globally diversified institutional portfolios totaling over $100 billion across fixed income, public equities, private markets, and other investment strategies.Under the supervision of the unit heads or designated officers, the Investment Research Analyst will provide research, analytical, and operational support across a broad range of investment activities, including investment strategy design, external manager search and monitoring, asset allocation, market analysis, investment operations, and reporting.Analysts will be assigned to either FIU or PIU based on business needs, with exposure to a range of investment functions, asset classes, and professional development opportunities within their assigned unit.**Major Duties and Responsibilities*** Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on financial markets, asset classes, investment strategies, and investment managers.* Analyze economic, market, portfolio, and performance data to identify trends, risks, and investment opportunities and support investment decision-making.* Develop and maintain analytical models, tools, dashboards, and databases to support portfolio monitoring, risk assessment, and investment research.* Monitor portfolio performance and investment strategy implementation, and support the due diligence and ongoing evaluation of external investment managers.* Contribute to research and analysis related to asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection, and other strategic investment initiatives.* Prepare investment reports, presentations, briefing materials, and analytical memoranda for management and governance committees.* Utilize investment databases, financial market platforms, and other analytical resources to collect, validate, and analyze investment information.* Support governance and operational processes, including preparation of committee materials, coordination of documentation, and maintenance of investment records.* Identify opportunities to improve analytical processes, reporting, data management, and technology-enabled investment capabilities.* Collaborate with colleagues, consultants, service providers, and investment managers, while contributing to a high-performing professional and diverse team environment.**Qualifications*** Educational development, including and/or supplemented by work experience, typically acquired through the completion of: (i) undergraduate degree, or equivalent, in one or more of the following fields: investments/finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, statistics, and/or accounting; (ii) an undergraduate degree, or equivalent, in another field, coupled with relevant professional work experience in the investment field; or (iii) undergraduate degree, or equivalent, plus enrollment in the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification program. Must either be a CFA charter holder or be prepared to undertake the CFA certification program.* Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize and interpret large amounts of financial, market, and economic data.* Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial and economic data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, eVestment, Datastream). Experience with programming and analytical tools such as Python, R, VBA, MATLAB, or similar is desirable.* Knowledge of investment theory and practice, including portfolio analytics, performance measurement, risk analysis, and asset allocation concepts.* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present analytical findings clearly and effectively.* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, team-oriented environment.*This is a one-year contractual appointment.
