The Championship Digital Product Manager leads the development, execution, and optimization of digital fan experiences for PGA of America's premier Championships, including the PGA Championship, KPMG Women's PGA Championship, and Ryder Cup. This role oversees product updates, vendor partnerships, and live event support, ensuring digital platforms engage fans both onsite and around the world. The manager leads efforts in product testing, analytics, and gamification, continually enhancing the quality and impact of our digital offerings during Championship events.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):
Lead the year-round planning, design, business requirements, and testing for PGA of America's championship web and app experiences; be the primary internal advocate for product development updates.
Collaborate with the Director, Technical Product and Event Operations to set the annual roadmap, allocate development hours, and drive prioritization of new feature development.
Oversee vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and management, for key digital products, ensuring effective program oversight throughout each championship cycle.
Implement analytics tools and practices for effective reporting and impactful data-driven decision making surrounding digital products and platforms.
Regularly meet with revenue operations, partners and content teams, as well as other critical internal stakeholders, to align on short and long-term product priorities and to ensure that our digital products are consistently meeting organization-wide objectives.
Work with internal stakeholders to optimize product concepts and features so they will have impactful commercial value and properly showcase the world-class brands that the PGA of America partners with.
Serve as product owner for the championship CMS, coordinating enhancements, maintenance, best practices, stakeholder training, and vendor management.
Lead the end-to-end delivery, execution, and quality of digital products during event weeks, ensuring outstanding digital experiences for fans and partners.
Proactively explore, propose, and test innovative new products, features, and digital enhancements for PGA events.
Stay current with evolving sports digital product trends and foster collaborative relationships within PGA Digital and across the industry.
Elevate the digital presence of pga.com and Member-focused platforms/channels, especially during championships and via Member events.
Oversee and mentor seasonal interns, assigning impactful product-focused tasks and maximizing their development and contributions.
Maintain, elevate, and analyze user feedback and internal testing efforts to inform ongoing product improvements.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Assist with department program budget management including budget tracking for specific vendors, and input into the budget system.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Marketing, Business, Media, Communications, Sport Management, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Four years of experience in digital sports media, with a background working for an organization such as a league, team, governing body, collegiate athletic department, brand, manufacturer, sports media outlet, or content creator.
Proven expertise in managing digital platforms, including responsibilities in product management and ownership, vendor coordination, and content management.
Product management training (i.e. Scrum, CAPM or PMP certification) preferred.
Experience in the digital product lifecycle and golf preferred.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Job Knowledge/Technology: Ability to create timelines and maintain deadlines. Must be organized on details, naturally curious and resourceful, ability to work against many timelines, and be able to self-manage day-to-day activities. Knowledgeable and savvy with all digital communication tools, such as G Suite (Gmail, G Doc, Sheets, Drive, Analytics), mobile devices, video conferencing, content management systems. Knowledge and experience in platforms such as or similar to Google Ads Manager,, Amplitude analytics measurement system, Brightcove video management system, Brightspot CMS, WSC Clipro, Airship a plus.
