Why choose us?

Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Join us for an exciting opportunity at Albertsons Companies, where innovation and customer service go hand-in-hand!

At Albertsons Companies, we are looking for someone who's not just seeking a job, but someone who wants to make an impact. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to lead, innovate, and contribute to the growth of a company that values great service and lasting customer relationships. This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that's constantly evolving.

Main responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented, analytical, and future thinking Digital Local SEO & Content Manager to drive local organic search visibility, hyperlocal content optimization, AI search readiness, and enterprise-level SEO reporting for Albertsons Companies.

This role optimizes the company's digital presence across traditional search engines, answer engines, and large language model-driven discovery experiences. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of local SEO, AEO, LLM optimization, local listings, and performance analytics.

This person serves as a critical analytical liaison between division business units, marketing partners, merchandising teams, pharmacy, e-commerce, and other national business units.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working with large data sets, identifying patterns, diagnosing performance issues, validating information across multiple systems, and translating complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations while managing a high volume of details without errors, inconsistencies, or unsupported conclusions.

Local Listings Management

  • Manage, optimize, and QA local business listings across major platforms, including Google Business Profile, Apple Business Connect, and relevant industry-specific directories.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of store-level data, including name, address, phone number, business hours, holiday hours, departments, services, attributes, URLs, categories, photos, and customer-facing descriptions.
  • Monitor and resolve local listing data issues, duplicate listings, suppression risks, incorrect pins, mismatched hours, missing services, and inconsistent NAP information.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to validate store-specific business information.
  • Monitor performance of local listings, including impressions, actions, calls, clicks, direction requests, local pack visibility, and customer engagement trends.
  • Identify opportunities to improve local discoverability for high-intent "near me" searches and service-based local queries.

Hyperlocal SEO & Local Page Optimization

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain local pages designed to improve organic visibility for individual stores, cities, regions, departments, services, and localized customer needs.
  • Implement on-page SEO practices, including optimized title tags, meta descriptions, internal linking, image alt text, and localized body content.
  • Optimize content for geographic modifiers, neighborhood-level intent, city and regional relevance, store-level services, and high-conversion local search terms.
  • Evaluate local page performance by division, banner, store, and page type.
  • Monitor local SERP features, including map packs, local organic results, and knowledge panels.

AI Search, AEO, & LLM Optimization

  • Develop and support optimization strategies for evolving search experiences, including AI Overviews, answer engines, chat-based discovery, and LLM-influenced recommendations.
  • Apply AEO - Answer Engine Optimization principles to help content appear in direct answers, FAQ results, featured snippets, People Also Ask results, and conversational search experiences.
  • Optimize content for LLM readability.
  • Identify and prioritize content updates that improve machine comprehension, including FAQs, concise definitions, local relevance, service descriptions, and entity consistency.
  • Audit content for accuracy, completeness, and usefulness in AI-powered discovery experiences.

Google Analytics, Search Console & Performance Analysis

  • Analyze local page traffic, user behavior, engagement, and conversion trends using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Adobe Analytics, or other enterprise analytics tools.
  • Evaluate organic performance by page type, division, banner, query group, local page, and customer journey stage.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, traffic declines, ranking changes, content performance gaps, and technical SEO concerns.
  • Build recurring reports that clearly explain performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Investigate performance changes related to algorithm updates, platform changes, content updates, technical releases, seasonality, competitive shifts, and customer behavior.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Albertsons Companies' competitive position in local organic search, map results, answer results, and generative search environments.

Quality Assurance, Governance & Risk Management

  • Perform detailed QA across local pages, metadata, listings, URLs, internal links, structured data, reporting outputs, and customer-facing content.
  • Validate that location-specific information is accurate before publishing or distributing reports.
  • Identify and escalate risks related to incorrect store information, outdated content, inconsistent messaging, compliance concerns, broken customer journeys, or data discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized documentation for keyword strategies, reporting logic, content recommendations, change history, platform requirements, and performance findings.
  • Ensure work is completed with a high level of precision, consistency, and accountability.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in local SEO, analytics, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in local SEO tools and platforms, including Google Business Profile, Google Analytics, and SEO software (e.g., SEMrush).
