Job Summary: The file clerk is responsible for maintaining company records. Codes, files and retrieves records as needed and ensures system is well organized.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • File records away in alphabetical or numerical order.
  • Code files for proper placement
  • Retrieve files as necessary
  • Clean and maintain file space
  • Receptionist coverage (answer phones and operate switchboard)
  • Modify or purge files with appropriate permission
  • Process and scan files for entry into computer in digital database.
  • Create new file folders and files
  • Light data entry
  • Store and extract file information from database.
  • Perform basic office duties, copying, faxing, and scanning.
  • Prepare coffee in file room
  • Assist in coffee or lunch setup in conference rooms for customer visits when needed
  • Aid people in retrieving documents in filing cabinets or electronic storage
  • Embrace and promote the company's culture beliefs as a means to achieve the Key Results.
  • Conduct yourself in accordance with Aluminum Precision Products Employee Code of Conduct.
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by APP Leadership.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
  • Two years previous experience in filing or equivalent experience in a related field
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of word processing tools (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic data entry skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to quickly and accurately type and enter data into various databases
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Compensation: $18.00 - $18.76 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
