Job Description
Media always starts with an audience. Audience Design is the intersection of Strategy, Data & Tech applied to drive growth on behalf of our clients and their brands. With the power of Epsilon Identity at the center, we can unleash these capabilities at massive scale at Publicis Groupe. Our team is a mix of researchers, strategists and technology experts and consultants.
The Audience Strategy Manager will support internal agencies and clients by leveraging data and analytics to drive audience strategy, deliver actionable insights, and enhance targeting efforts. This role will require strong analytical skills, data fluency, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in media, creative, content, and/or analytics disciplines. Knowledge of research techniques and segmentation techniques are critical. Candidates should also have applied knowledge of commonly used advertising technology.
Responsibilities
  • Assists Director with all aspects of data driven audience strategy development
  • Able to use platform tools (EPC, GWI, MRI etc.) to define & segment new audiences based on client goals & industry trends, combined with researching & identifying valuable data driven insights to improve overall audience strategy product.
  • Ability to analyze & illuminate how consumers interact with devices, content & media through rigorous data analysis
  • Develop a strong overall understanding of the client's business objectives to provide audience recommendations to deliver against these objectives and demonstrate through campaign results how data targeting can help them achieve their business goals
  • Extract insights from data and effectively communicate to clients in relation to their goals and objectives; share results from audience analytics reports with clients when available
  • Innovation & Testing: Participate in testing new audience tools and methodologies, providing critical feedback to enhance performance and user experience.
  • Assist in the development of client-facing materials, including data presentations and audience performance reports
  • Participate in team meetings and knowledge sessions to share new strategies for targeting campaigns and to provide feedback on platform and data performance
  • Delivers and sets expectations with the client
  • Makes concrete attempts to add value and enhance client relationships
  • Knowledge of propriety research tools/processes and various segmentation techniques are critical

Role Objectives:
  • A passion for data-driven advertising and insights, with hands on keyboard experience in audience tools such as Epsilon Discovery (propriety tool to Publicis), MRI, and GWI
  • Excellent understanding of Media Fundamentals, enabling connection of audience strategy to media approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, capable of prioritizing and managing projects for both self and associates while ensuring they are followed through to completion
  • Demonstrates capacity to train and develop junior team members, including the ability to let go and trust a team
  • Strong analytical skills, technical know-how, and strategic thinking
  • Uses experience and knowledge to identify risks and escalate
  • Eager to take on new responsibilities and share with team
  • Manages with direction from Associate Director and Director
  • Requires input for client business-related decisions

Management Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for Associate level deliverables

Qualifications
  • 3+ years' experience in media planning/strategy (emphasis on digital), &/or ad technology (including previous agency side experience)
  • Familiarity with data visualization using tools such as Tableau, R, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of audience tools (MRI, GWI, Epsilon)
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, CRM, and audience segmentation
  • SQL, SAS, or Python a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
  • Strong analytical skills, technical know-how, and strategic thinking
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of Online Display, Video and Mobile campaigns, as well as knowledge of Ad Tech platforms
  • Familiarity / experience with third-party ad serving platforms, DSPs, CDPs, 3rd Party data, pixels and Ad Servers
  • Familiarity with customer acquisition goals and optimizing to CPA, CTR, Completion Rate, etc.
  • Understand Web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Understand Identity Solution tools (eg. Epsilon, Liveramp, Neustar)

Compensation Range: $87,210- $125,265 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
