Product Development Engineer (Manufacturing  Packaging)
Location: Cincinnati, OH (On-site) Company: ProAmpac
You don’t just design products. You bring them to life on the plant floor.

You’ll connect sales, customers, and operations to turn ideas into scalable, high-performing packaging solutions.
 
What You’ll Own
This is not a desk-only engineering role. You’ll be on the floor, in trials, and in the middle of real decisions.
•     Lead end-to-end product development across extrusion, press, and conversion
•     Translate customer needs into practical, executable manufacturing solutions
•     Design and execute trial runs that actually surface risks before scale
•     Partner with Sales and customers on new business onboarding
•     Troubleshoot quality issues. Internal and customer-facing
•     Evaluate new materials and alternative sources within quality and cost targets
•     Drive process improvements and efficiency gains across the plant
•     Act as the technical bridge between product, operations, and commercial teams
•     Support quoting and new business through CRM ownership (PD perspective)
 
What Makes You a Fit

•     Experience working hands-on in production environments
•     Packaging experience is a strong plus. Films, extrusion, or converting preferred
