COMMUNICATIONS
What We Do
The Epic Communications team advances the company's narrative and represents Epic products and the company vision to external and internal audiences globally. We create positive relationships and engagement strategies with a wide range of audiences, including media, investors, influencers, and policymakers.
What You'll Do
Epic is looking for an experienced communications professional to join our communications team. In this role you will lead proactive, reactive, and crisis management communications workstreams to shape and manage public, press, and player reputation globally. You will partner closely with the internal stakeholders including marketing, public policy, legal, engineering and product teams.
In this role, you will
  • Create proactive and reactive corporate communications strategies on policy, regulatory matters, legal developments, and safety
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop proactive product storytelling opportunities around Fortnite and Rocket League
  • Be part of the team that manages Epic's rapid response efforts, working in fast-paced and high stakes environments to address issues with players, consumers, and policy makers
  • Establish and maintain relationships with journalists, analysts, and influential voices globally across gaming, technology, and business sectors
What we're looking for
  • 10+ years of of experience in communications or public relations, preferably a mix of in-house and agency and/or political organizations
  • Experience building and executing global and creative communications programs
  • Experience leading on communications for high stakes, rapid response matters and using social media monitoring tools to inform strategies
  • Experience driving communications and advocacy strategies around complex issues
  • Experience managing global agency partners
  • A proactive problem solver, with strong instincts for when to escalate issues and work with leadership
  • Proven track record of delivering results and working well in dynamic environments
  • Someone with excellent writing and verbal communication skills
