Job description

Jasco is looking for a motivated Technology Development Associate that supports the Technology Development Director and Coordinator to develop new products and manage new product and technology introductions from conception, benchmark and initial product approval to then be passed onto Product Managers. Presents product and merchandising strategies. Assists Product Management and marketing departments in related marketing including online, product packaging and owner’s manuals. Working and communication cross functionally across other departments. Maintain and support Jasco digital applications.

  • Performs market research, factory sourcing, product evaluation, new feature and technology development
  • Communicates as needed with various suppliers.
  • Develops product and merchandising strategies and competitive analysis.
  • Provides training and technical support to Product Management, Sales Staff, Representatives, Customer Service, Marketing, Consumer Relations, and Purchasing.
  • Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications. Execute tests to assess product performance, reliability, and compatibility.
  • Assess the usability and user experience of products, providing insights and recommendations for enhancements.
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and ensure that testing aligns with project goals.
  • Coordinate with product managers and development teams to understand testing requirements and priorities. Communicate testing schedules, expectations, and any changes to the testing team.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or business or in a related field is required.
  • Previous project management experience is required, and knowledge of both Android and iOS based smart devices (tablets and smartphones) is preferred.
  • Communicates daily project updates to Technology Development team. 
  • Helps to develop and maintain testing Criteria, processes, and procedure
  • Knowledge of the retail market and online marketplaces. 
  • Technical skills to test and evaluate medium technical products, software, market research, development of merchandising strategies. 
  • Ability to work independently and cross functionally and be accountable for major projects. 
  • Ability to interface and assist other departments in a positive manner. 
  • Ability to assist the sales force in the presentation and implementation of JASCO merchandising plans. 
  • Ability to write marketing strategy presentations, product evaluation/comparisons reports, product instructions, package/custom display copy, and internal/external communications. 
  • Ability to read and interpret vendor catalogs/quotes, correspondence, trade margins, TQM manuals, product instructions, sourcing magazines.  Must be able to write owner’s manuals and marketing copy.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
