Starting Salary: $45,000 per year
The Development Associate is an integral member of the Maryhurst Development Team and provides hands-on support for fundraising events, volunteer engagement, and community outreach activities. This position helps expand the team's capacity by assisting with the implementation of fundraising events, coordinating volunteer opportunities, and supporting community engagement initiatives that advance the Maryhurst mission.
Working closely with the Director of Major Gifts, the Director of Events and Corporate Relations, and the Community Engagement Manager, the Development Associate helps ensure that the Development Department activities, including gift stewardship, fundraising events, volunteer projects, and outreach activities, are organized, welcoming, and impactful for supporters of Maryhurst.
This role is designed as an early-career opportunity for individuals interested in nonprofit fundraising, events, and community engagement.
What you'll be doing
  • Assist the Director of Events with the implementation of Maryhurst fundraising events, including logistics coordination and event preparation.
  • Assist with volunteer coordination for fundraising events.
  • Assist with coordinating volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups.
  • Support outreach opportunities that help increase Maryhurst visibility within the community.
