Job description

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Deskside Support for our client in the IT-Services domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Location: Houston, TX/Minot, ND

Salary: $30.00/Hourly

Role: Deskside Support

Primary Skills: HelpDesk

Role Description: The Deskside Support must have 3+ years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide hands-on deskside support to resolve issues related to desktop/laptop hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and other IT-related equipment.

- Handle installation, configuration, and upgrades of desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.

- Troubleshoot Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, VPN, network connectivity, and common enterprise applications.

- Work with ticketing systems to track, document, and resolve user incidents and service requests in a timely manner.

- Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.

- Provide support for video conferencing tools and meeting room equipment.

- Assist with user onboarding/offboarding tasks including setting up new systems and managing user access.

- Maintain inventory and asset management of IT equipment.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and IT security standards.

Required Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in deskside/end-user support or IT support roles.

- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, MS Office 365, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts.

- Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.).

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience supporting enterprise hardware (HP, Dell, Lenovo, etc.).

- Must be able to lift and move IT equipment as needed.

Education: Any/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
